Hello! I have completed a Biology Lab on my own. However, my teacher told me i was missing a few things. Below i have attached my completed version, along with her feed back. Can you please help me correct the lab?

FEEDBACK:

You are on the right track but you are missing some things, like the classification from Kingdom to species. Also, you will need to cite your photos on a photo credit page (after the work cited page). Instead of writing the citations under the photo, write the title of the photo so the reader knows what they are looking at.

Cyanobacteria
Nora Surji,
4/23/2017 Cyanobacteria
• Cyanobacteria they are also known as blue-green bacteria
• Cyanobacteria are photosynthetic and aquatic. It means that
these bacteria live in water and they are able to make their
own food just like plants. • They are bacteria, hence are unicellular. However, they grow
in colonies which an individual is able to see. • Examples of Cyanobacteria include: Spirulina and Nostoc
Spirulina (Manisha, n.d.) Nostoc (Manisha, n.d.) First Time of Occurrence & Fossil
Record
• Cyanobacteria have a broad fossil record and there are one of
the oldest organisms. • The oldest fossils of cyanobacteria are from the Archaean rocks of Western Australia and they date 3.5 billion years old.
The fossils are very old since the oldest rocks date 3.8 billion
years old! Economic and Societal Impact
• Many of the Protezoic oil deposits are attributed to
cyanobacteria’s activity • Their activity produces nitrogen fertilizer through Nitrogen Fixation which helps in the growing of crops such as rice and
beans (Herrero and Flores, 2008). • The chloroplasts found in plants that are able to make food
for themselves is actually cyanobacteria Evolutionary Importance
• In some period, during the late Proterozoic and in the early Cambrian, this type of bacteria began taking residence in
some Eukaryotic cells (Löffelhardt, 2013). They existed in the
host through a mutual relationship, where they made food for
the host and got a ‘home’ in return. It is known as
endosymbiosis. • Endosymbiosis is the origin of the eukaryotic mitochondrion.
• The photosynthetic activity of Cyanobacteria in the Archaean and Proterozoic Era help create the oxygen atmosphere as we
know it today. References
