the idea of this is to get as much as I can an experience from different employees. ✓ Final Report 7 Final Report 8 Internship objectives Working with such a flourishing bank would be an inevitable experience. The bank has looked
after the welfare of the society along with satisfying the customers and employees. The employees of
such a big organization would be experienced with this field. Working with them would be an
opportunity worth grabbing. So I wish to be a small part of this bank too. I have kept a mindset that
working for a large unit requires dedication and I am willing to give it.
Since the bank thrives to achieve more and more daily, I will get to know new strategies to implement.
Meeting with influential personalities will encourage me to be like them and work for more. Dealing with
new policies of bank enriches knowledge and way of interacting with people. Moreover, I would learn to
tackle problems of clients and provide solutions. The satisfaction in the face of the clients motivates me
to work harder for their comfort.
I would be given an exposure to the real world. So it would be an experience worth having. I
wish to develop strength mentally to overcome the difficulties. It is always exciting to work in a new
environment, but a sense of responsibility is also needed. Handling the obstacles efficiently will give me
a good strength. Other than that, I would learn how to adjust with fellow mates having different culture
and thoughts. Final Report 9 Accomplishments and lessons learnt I learnt different kind of services that are offered by the bank. For example, creating new
accounts, asking for loans, cheque books. Some customers came to pay off their debts and others
request a bank statement or account statement that contains summary of financial transactions which
have occurred over a given period. Also, others request No liability certificate which proves that this
person has debts to the bank, and the customer is eligible to transfer his salary to another bank or ask
another bank for personal loan and there are no finical issues. On the other hand, Liability certificate
proves that this person has debts to the bank and must pay off. most of the customers who request this
certificate are requested this certificate to submit it to the crown prince court to help them to pay off
their debts. Also, I learnt that some services required original papers such as Emirates ID and passport to
prove that this is the right person.
Working with tellers helped me to get more knowledge about a lot of services but not as the
customer relationship officers. A lot of the services are repeated every day. For example, a customer
wants to withdrawal or deposit amount of money these services can be done with us only, customer
relationship officers are not allowed to do such as these tasks. Every service we provide are required a
passport or Emirates ID to prove that you are the owner of the account and you are authorized.
On the other hand, some services required additional layer of security, such as collecting cash
cheques. In order to collect the cash cheques, the customer must have an authorization letter to collect
cash cheque. Final Report 10 Final Report 11 Also, I learned more about confidentiality and integrity. Employees should refrain from leaving
confidential information visible on their computer monitors when they leave their work stations. Also, all
confidential information should be disposed of properly for example, employees should not print out a
confidential document and then throw it away without shredding it first, and employees should avoid
using e-mail to transmit certain sensitive or controversial information, and all electronic confidential
information should be protected via firewalls, encryption and passwords.
showing respect to other employees with appropriate conversation and empathy. Being
responsible. Also, using materials for work and not personal use, and If I made a mistake and other
employees get messed up, I should own up to my mistake. Don’t let others take the fall. Also, work
together as a team. This builds trust and shows integrity. And during making a business deal, I have to
make sure everything is on the table and nothing was left out.
Honesty is an example of integrity in the workplace. Honesty encourages open communication
between employees. It leads to effective relationships in an organization. When employees are honest
about the various aspects of their jobs that need improvement, employers can take action and help.
And our services must be available and accessible anywhere and anytime in order to satisfy the
customers. Final Report 12 Conclusion Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank is a huge company. It has always aimed to satisfy the clients. It has never seen
any major scams or fraud. Working with the principle of religiousness, it makes efforts to keep the
employees as well as clients happy and content. Moreover, it looks after every section of the society and
works for its welfare. ADIB has an impressive position in the market and has seldom seen a downfall.
Success of the bank can’t be measured in units but the growth of the customers and branches
clearly shows the amount. ADIB takes pride in every activity it has undertaken. Be it headquarters or the
plans. It has facility to be mobile and is accessible through various channels. It has taken help of media
for the publicity. There are many noteworthy factors about the bank. The whole unit works as a family
and employees. It gives the best environment to serve the people. The strategies implemented by the
bank do not make any fake promises. It is one of the committed and reliable banks in the world.
