lactate dehydrogenase, NAD and other cofactors. Total volume of reactants in 1 cm
pathlength cuvette is 1.5 mL. The blank cuvette’s absorbance at 340 nm was 0.080 and
the final absorbance was 0.715. The molar extinction coefficient for NADH is 6,220 L/
(moles x cm). How many µmoles of lactic acid are in 1 mL of milk? 2. (15 pts): Assume you want to follow the activity of an enzyme that uses NADPH as a
cofactor. You want to limit the initial absorbance to < 1.0. What is the maximum molar
concentration of NAPDH that you can use if your cuvettes are 0.5 cm pathlength? E1mM =
