Why doesn't the format of your submitted model look exactly like the format used in the class
videos and the practice problem sets? The problem does NOT have any data field named "chef_id". Why did you invent that? "specialties" is an embedded (inside an entity) many. Therefore, your model fails the 1NF test.
You model is UNNORMALIZED (UNF). The "Can have" reln is not correct. A restaurant (the chain) hs multiple locations. And, in this
problem a location can be part of only one restaurant chain. PhoneNumber is a fact about a location, not about the whole restaurant chain. It is in the wrong
place. NumberOfSpecials, NumberOfTables, PriceRangeHigh, PriceRangeLow, and QualityRating are
fats about a test meal recorded by a reviewer. They should not be in the entity about the
restaurant chain. The "Can be reviewed" reln is wrong. In this problem, test mals are reviewed, not restaurant
chains. ReviewComments are about a test meal, not about a reviewer. That field is in the wrong place. The "can be done" reln says that several reviewers eat the same test meal. That is wrong. It also
says that any reviewer can only every review one test meal. That is also wrong. Many of the relationship verb words you chose are not very good. "Can be done", "can test",
"can be reviewed", "can be in" are not direct terms from the users' problem. They do not clearly
state the nature of the relationship.
Note the difference with the other two relationship verbs you used: Works-for and Supervises.
Those words are direct, come from the users' problem, and have an immediately recognizable
meaning for the reader of your model. Please fix ll these problems and resubmit.
