We are studying a chemical that can exist as a Solid, a Liquid or a Gas. We check its state once a day, and it turns out that we can predict the state the next day from the current state. If it is solid, then the probability is 1 that it is a solid the next day, 1 that it is a liquid the next day, and 1 that 244 it is a gas the next day. If it is a liquid, then it is either a solid or a gas the next day, with equal probability, but never a liquid. Finally, if it is a gas then the next day it is always a liquid.
